Well… In South Aus we’ve been facing heatwave after heatwave of 40-45+ degrees Celsius days (that’s around 113 Fahrenheit). It’s been aaaaawful and I’m awfully jealous of all the Americans posting about the snow (and it’s hard work watching the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics too)!
I had SOOOO many things to post about this month but to keep it nice and simple I decided to post about our trip to Melbourne that Ben planned for my Christmas present (he’s a good husband). We stayed at The Cullen Art Series Hotel (SO nice! A balcony and a view, mmmm), visited St. Ali’s coffee in a cool little graffiti’d laneway, went shopping at the Richmond Rd factory outlets, and wandered the Queen Victoria Markets – all so beautiful, so full of colours and full of life. I LOVE the culture, the coffee, the hustle and bustle (I may have grown up in the country and now live here again, but I LOVE the city) and I love the way that Melbourne draws you in through its rich colours, vibrant street art and rampant multiculturalism. It makes me want to breathe deep and bask in the glorious glow of the anonymity that comes with being in a huge city full of people you don’t know. The freedom of it stirs my soul, especially having grown up in a small country town where such freedom was never an option. There are beautiful things about knowing all of the people you see, too, but that’s a story for another time. ๐
But I also have another little surprise for you – this month I’m posting 11 (sneaky, I know). Although it’s a poor quality iPhone selfie in the car on the way home from picking him up, I have a new little kitty to share with you! His name’s Oscar and I love him already. Ben thinks I’m a little bit of a crazy cat lady, and although I’d like to deny it, he’s probably right. I think he’s pretty cute, though and that more than makes up for it. ๐
Anyway, it’s time for you all to enjoy this month’s 10* images. Hope you’re all having a lovely day! Don’t forget to follow along to the next blog (link at the bottom) and all the way back around the circle to see the rest of the other lovely ladies’ 10 on 10s. And don’t forget to leave them some love. ๐
